She has a background in outdoor education, a degree in Adventure Leadership, and has been leading groups on outdoor adventure for 23 years. This year, after guiding for Mariah for 18 years, she took on the role of Operations’ Manager for Mariah, and has been helping improve our camp and operations. In the off-season she leads trips to foreign countries like Belize and Costa Rica, sharing the natural history of tropical rainforests and rivers. Nikki also surfs, kayaks, snowboards, skiis, and loves spending lots of time with her dog “Sprocket” (Mariah’s camp dog). Smart Women Business Network is an informal network of women and their
friends who are subscribers and contacts of “Betty’s List,” the popular

LGBT community. Since it’s inception and first networking event in June of 2006, the Smart Women Business Network has welcomed thousands of women in business and their friends. At each event, participants gather to meet, greet and share business ideas; enjoy scrumptious Hors d’oeuvres contributed by the hosting restaurant; and hear updates from community leaders. * Note from Betty: Our Smart Women Business Network has become a top priority for "Betty’s List" and I'd like to emphasize that these gatherings are for everyone regardless of if you own a business or not. The idea is to share ideas and leads and to make connections with other women who want to do business with you. What's more, we always have fun and are moved by the sharing and caring each time. All sorts or women attend (. . . and as the Lady Parts gals say, "we are nice to men too") from entrepreneurs to students to retirees to young women who are just starting out in whatever field they choose. There are no limits on who can come . . . or what time you arrive between our start time at 5:30 PM and closing at 7:30 PM. Everyone attending has the option to participate in the popular "Shout Out!" to say what they are interested in and what they have to offer. Everyone is welcome to bring a door prize . . . or not. Yes, we make new friends at Smart Women, some find dates at Smart Women and some come just to hang out, enjoy the free hors d'oeuvres and have a nice time!
