This Outdoor Adventure is for women of all ages. Couples and singles are welcome! Singles will be hosted and cared for. Couples will be as well. All are welcome! Please inquire with your questions. During April, elephant seal pups - or "weaners" as they are fondly referred to - form playful aggregations known as "weaner pods" on the remote beaches of Ano Nuevo. Ano Nuevo State Reserve is the largest mainland breeding colony of the northern elephant seal in the world and is a spectacular wildlife encounter. We will make our way through this State Park jewel to view these amazing animals learning about their ecology and behavior. The Ano Nuevo area was once a large settlement site for the Ohlone Indians. Our day will include examining a shell midden left by these early Native Americans. In the late afternoon, we will join our guides as we explore the tidepools of Natural Bridges State Park. ![]() * Event Schedule & Options – Schedule Details & Food Options - - 10:00 AM - Optional - Meet in Davenport for Breakfast at Pastry Shop - 10:30 - 12:00 Noon - Meet at Davenport Landing for Tidepooling - 12:30 AM - 1:30 PM - Optional Lunch "on your own" at Road House Cafe in Davenport (Or bring your lunch and picnic at the beach or coastline areas.) -2:00 PM - 6:00 PM - Hiking at Ano Nuevo State Reserve * Walking Distances - - Ano Nuevo: 3 1/2 miles round trip over sand with some elevation gain while going over sand dunes; some cardiovascular conditioning suggested . - Davenport Landing: 1/2-1 mile round trip over sand; leisurely pace/ * Registration & Payment Information - $65 per person until Early Bird / $75 Standard - Use Paypal payment option at the top of this page. - Pay by Check: Mail check, payable to Sullivan Communications Inc, to: “Betty’s List” Outdoor Adventure 2261 Market Street #309 San Francisco, CA 94114 Please note: If paying by check, please enclose a note with your e-mail address and phone number so that we can send your confirmation info and contact you if needed.
