Singles of all ages will thoroughly enjoy the evening! We've decided that our Singles Exchange will offer simultaneous segments in two adjacent rooms . . . and you choose which one, or you choose both! We'll designate a ThirtySomethings Room, and a Connexions Room. Decide which one you wish to be in and when you'll be there, and yes, you can try them both. Segment I: "Singles Exchange" includes a Guided Mingle and an Interactive Session on key topics for singles." Master of Ceremonies is Roke Noir and featured guest is Keely Kolmes, PhD. Segment II: "Live Music and Dance for Singles" includes two full hours of dancing with the live lesbian rock band Finding Stella featuring lead singer Chris Snyder! All in a fabulous roof top setting with terrific viewes . . . Featuring Roke Noir, Dr. Keely Kolmes, PsyD and Finding Stella (Rock Band)     * Registration - (A) "Singles Exchange": Guided Mingle and an Interactive Session 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM: $40 (B) Live Music & Dance for Singles with Finding Stella Live: 9:00 PM – 11:00 PM (exact time to be confirmed): $25 Attend both (A) & (B) – 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM: $55 A limited number of volunteer opportunities are available for this event. Please plan accordingly to meet your needs. Menu selections will be available for purchase in the Bar Adagio located on the hotel's lobby level during the reset/break time of 8:30 PM - 9:00 PM. We will also provide a list of recommended food providers within close walking distance. Parking: A large parking garage is located across the street from Pier 39. Sullivan, Event Producer, Community Educator & Co-Host You'll have the opportunity to ask and find out about all of the services and offerings of the "Betty's List" Singles Program. * Why We Offer Two: ThirtySomethings and Connexions for Singles - "Betty's List" began its work with Singles in 2006. During our extensive schedule of events for Singles during 2008, “Betty’s List” listened and recognized that Singles were expressing the desire for multiple groupings with more than one “energy level.” Some expressed their need for differing age groupings at Singles events. With that in mind, we rely on each woman to decide which grouping she prefers, or if she would like to attend both. It is totally “okay” to particpate in both if that is your wish. We describe our events as “self-selecting” although we are happy to discuss and make recommendations. - ThirtySomethings for Singles - This grouping is designed for women in their late 20s, 30s and early 40s . . . but some in their late 40s or above say that they feel very “young” and are more comfortable with a “younger woman.” Likewise, some younger women say they prefer to be with those who are more “experienced” than they. Our ThirtySomethings grouping is generally fast-paced and usually include music that may be popular with a young set and played at varying volume levels, keeping in mind the requirements of our venue. Topics related to sexuality are often present in the program. - Connexions for Singles - Presented with a relaxed and “sophisticaled” panache, Connexions women are accomplished in their fields of endeavor, whatever that field may be. The Connexions group includes guided activities, featured guests who discuss or lead interactive sessions on selected topics. Connexions may also include dance instruction, cooking classes and demonstrations or other instructional, recreational or artistic content. The Betty’s List Singles program offers two groupsites for Singles where some 300 Singles have placed their profiles, some offering photos and descriptions and some with minimal information. Let us know if you are interested. * Singles Events for 2010 – “Betty's List” is developing a variety of events for Singles to be held in 2010. Please do not hesitate to make your reservations as space will be limited and we don’t want anyone to be disappointed. Watch carefully for announcements and let us know if you want to be on our specialized “Singles List.” During 2010, “Betty’s List” will be working in cooperation with Roke Noir and with other partners. We will provide you with many options to choose from. Our mutual goal is to meet the needs of Singles women throughout the Bay Area who wish to connect with like-minded Singles. Included will be events at varied levels of pricing, age grouping, location and activity level. We welcome and encourage your participation!  |
